The Lodge Dyserth Information

Check-in:   After 4pm

Check-out:  Before 10am

Keys:    Key lockbox and instructions will be provided to you a few days before your stay

Parking:  There is parking for two cars - please park either before or after The Lodge gates (please note rubbish is collected on Monday's so the main carparking area should be clear of all cars to allow for vehicle turn around space).

Please note The Lodge has excellent Central heating/hot water and good WiFi coverage through-out  (The Lodge is very warm and cosy during the winter months).

Kitchen:  Open plan kitchen and dining table. The kitchen is well stocked with all the usual pans, crockery, glassware, utensils and baking equipment. We provide store cupboard supplies including coffee, tea bags (a selection of fruit teas and hot chocolate sachets), sugar, sweeteners, salt and pepper, vegetable cooking oil spray, tin foil, cling film and sandwich bags.  Dining table and four chairs and a comfy armchair.  See also the appliance list further below.  

Laundry & Cleaning: Clothes washing capsules (non-biological), iron, ironing board, clothes maiden, radiator airer, kitchen paper towels, tea towels, dish cloth, washing-up gloves and various cleaning products are all provided.  A mop and bucket, broom and vacuum cleaner are also provided.

Bathroom:  Coles of London shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and lotion.  Bath salts, bubble bath, cotton wool, ear buds, disposable shower cap, toilet paper, shower/bath slip mat.  Bathrobes, complimentary slippers and slipper bags (you are welcome to take the slippers and slipper bag home as a small gift from us). There are two of each hand towels, bath towels and bath sheets  There is a shower cubicle as well as a roll top bath.

Living room:  Three seater sofa, two armchairs, foot rest, coffee and side table, electric stove wood effect fire, Smart Freesat TV (Netflix accessible using your own account). There are a selection of local attractions leaflets as well as books and a good selection of local waking/guide books and maps.  Covid does not live on paper for longer than 30 minutes however we have taken the decision to remove the board games and jigsaw puzzles.

Bedroom:  King size bed, two bedside tables/lights, dressing table (writing desk), wardrobe (plenty of coat hangers), chest of drawers, armchair, full length mirror, hairdryer/diffuser' luggage stand.  Please note we do not use feather bedding as some people have allergies.  The bed linen is of good quality and is either John Lewis or Fogarty and the pillows and mattress all have protectors.

Appliances:  Cooker (electric oven/grill/gas hob), small fridge/freezer (see photos in guest book), separate washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave (combi), toaster, kettle, cafeteria, Nutri-Bullet blender, slow cooker, handheld electric mixer, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, iron, television, 6-in-1 music system which plays radio, CD player, LP’s, cassettes, Bluetooth connection to your own devices.  

Garden: Covered gazebo, garden table and chair sets front and back of property, parasol, two wooden steamer lay flat chairs & two recliner chairs, small BBQ.  There is an outside water tap and hose located next to the front door for washing off muddy walking boots or dogs.

Bikes: A lockable bike store and bike pump at the back of the property

Dog:   A dog bed/cushion as well as a dog blanket, feeding/water bowls and waste bags are provided.  Three acre paddock adjoining The Lodge provides plenty of exercise space and there is an outside hose if you need to wash off the dog (or muddy boots).  Please note if there are animals in the paddock please keep your dog on a lead.

Out and about: Picnic basket (crockery/cutlery), tupperware, blanket, beach bag, beach towels, flask, cool bag, sandwich bags and ice packs.

Odds and sods: Paper, pens, spare batteries/light bulbs, sewing kit, safety pins, extension lead, double adapter.

Recycling: Instructions are provided at the property and we have hopefully made recycling an easy chore.

Health and Safety: We do not use feather bedding as some people have allergies.  The gas boiler and the electrical appliances are checked/serviced annually and every room has a mains powered fire alarm with battery back-up and there are two carbon monoxide sensors. There are two indoor sensor lights with removable torches, which provide light for up to 15 hours during a power failure.  A small pocket torch is provided for when walking home at night and there are three outside security sensor lights.

CCTV covers the driveway approach and car park.

At the property there is a first aid kit as well as a fire blanket and fire extinguisher.

Disability: The cottage is all on one level but there is a small step threshold for each of the external doors.  Sadly not all the doors are wide enough for wheelchair access.  The private driveway is up hill and the approach to the entrance is across large gravel/stones.
